Mrs. Samuel's 6th grade Character Education class is currently collecting items for their community service projects. Character Education encompasses a learning process enabling students to understand and act on core ethical values such as respect, justice, citizenship, and responsibility for self and others. The students have chosen "Pack the Pantry" and "Healing Bags" as their community service projects. "Pack the Pantry" collects nonperishable food items to donate to local pantries and Blessing Boxes at local churches. "Healing Bags" will be put together for cancer patients at the SIH Cancer Institute. If you are interested in helping the Character Education class by donating items, please drop off items at the High School Office, Mrs. Samuel's classroom, or contact Mrs. Samuel at the school to arrange for your items to be picked up. The students will be collecting donations until February 28, 2022. Please see the item lists below for more information.
